Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Greetings from Charlotte, NC...

I'm here at the UNC-Charlotte library, and I decided to make a quick check of the BP. ... I'm thinking about going around to different computers and saving the BP under "Favorites"... Ha! Anyway, it's good to see healthy debate going on in my absence. ... Who would have thought the issue of Africa would have been the hot topic of the week.

Elvis has left the building. ... Thank you & good night.
