Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: No Blood for Oil: Lets cut terror's lifeline.

It's time to stop playing footsie with environmentalists. It's time to get on with ANWR drilling and offshore drilling along our East and West coasts. It's time to start saying aloud what we all know: radical environmentalism in the US is in opposition to our national security interests.
