Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

(I can't get no) satisfaction

Writing songs about the Iraq war and about Bush is old news though... Remember, Bruce & others went on a tour last fall for the sole purpose of getting people riled up to remove Bush from office... Well, it didn't work. Actually, since the Stones have never liked to conform to what others are doing, they should have done a pro-war song... Ha!

With regard to Bruce: He still blames Reagan for all the world's problems... He hates conservatives & Republicans... He's knocking a chunk of his audience... That's why entertainers need to be careful when giving out their political views because they are in the "people business." Besides, I go to concerts to listen to music, not to hear their political views... I hear enough political views on TV. :-)
