Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Is Ms. Sheenan is crazy???

I'll say it: Mrs. Sheenan is crazy... Granted, I can't think of anything worse than losing a child, and for that, she has my sympathy, but for this show she's putting on in Crawford, TX, she looks like a left wing nut... She's being backed down there by a communist group and an anti-Israel group... Even her family has distanced themselves from her.

You sound like my dad, Strother: He wants to require manditory military service for kids after they graduate from high school, but he wants to do it to teach these kids manners & respect for authority... He said 8 weeks of boot camp would do these kids good. :-)
