RE: Re: Re: RE: Cindy Sheehan's 'story'
First of all, questioning your country's decision to go to war does not mean that you are unpatriotic!
Granted. So who said it does?
Serving your country doesn't mean blindly obeying orders, no questions asked.
Actually with regard to the military, especially in combat situations, yes it does. And everyone who enlists knows that.
You know as well as I do that soldiers must be asking themselves every day what the hell they're doing what the hell they were thinking when they enlisted. They're only human.
Probably. So what?
Secondly, just because you are the parent of a Marine doesn't mean you agree with what they are doing. It doesn't mean that you necessarily wanted your child to join the military to begin with. It also doesn't mean you love your child any less when you don't agree with their decisions.
I'm hoping this penchant for stating the obvious is headed somewhere.
You claim that no one on the "Bully Pulpit" is saying that she shouldn't speak her mind. Yet, you criticize her for doing so. This is what makes ME so mad!
I see, so Cindy is allowed to spew whatever leftist bile she chooses, but none of us better dare criticize her for it? So you believe free speech is reserved to Cindy? Where do you live? Soviet Russia? The second she took her little meltdown and tirade public was the instant she opened herself up for any rebuttal the might come her way. That's the way things work in America.
Just because someone doesn't agree with you does not make what they have to say unimportant. You can tune her out if you want. That's your right. But others might have some interest in what she has to say.
*Sigh*
We're back to stating the obvious again.
And in MY humble opinion, you are showing not only Ms. Sheehan, but also her son disrespect by disregarding her statements as 'crazy talk'.
And you are welcome to it. And you are welcome to my response: That's a bunch of horse manure. Neither you nor I know how Casey would feel about what his Mother is doing. We do know that the entire rest of Casey's family wants her to shut the hell up. We can only assume that since Casey voluntarily re-enlisted shortly before he was killed, he would have to have at least wondered what she was doing since her comments are derisive of his decision.
