I'm against the inappropriate spending of my tax dollars as much as anybody, but MR needs to relax or find a new hobby, or something...anything to keep him from wasting his time serving as the self appointed "appropriate-behavior police" of western NC!

Let's examine briefly this loser's claim…

He says that his tax dollars are funding events that he finds morally objectionable, and he is entitled to find it objectionable (in fact, I'll admit the whole scenario seems lewd & ridiculous). But to twist this into a "wasted tax money" issue is just too much!

First off, when I look at how much I pay in taxes, it isn't the state and local taxes that really bother me…it's the federal income tax. We all pay much more to the US than to NC. Secondly, how much tax money was really spent to show a low budget film on UNC-Asheville's campus? $10? $35? Shoot, maybe it cost $100!!? How exorbitant?!?! So we have $100 (of our hard earned $$$) spent on a "morally objectionable" event. Now, let's look at another "morally objectionable" event that is consuming our tax money…..

The "war" in Iraq is the epitome of morally objectionable!!! Thousands of civilians killed and counting!!! Many concerned taxpayers have been raising moral objections to our illegal (and very lucrative for some) escapade in Iran…no wait, not yet- we're still in Iraq. So let us compare & contrast these two immoral events:

-One cost $100 or so, promotes male Asian porno actors, and to the best of my knowledge has killed nobody.

-The other cost a more than $300,000,000,000 (and counting), promotes violence and hatred throughout the world, and has killed tens of thousands of innocent people (and counting).

Which one seems more detrimental?

There are some "conservatives" with some messed up priorities in this country! The real immorals aren't sex-obsessed Asian-American professors, they are the greedy corporate fat cats slipping money into the pockets of dems and republicans alike! If they want to go on a moral crusade go after those dudes. And, if really they want to curb wasteful govt spending, then they should stop picking on education at local and state levels and start at the top with the "BIG GOVERNMENT BUSH" administration!
