Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Kerry Accuses Bush of Leading 'Katrina Administration'


"(John) Kerry told the university audience that it's the government's job to prepare for the future, not ignore it - to solve problems, not create them."
No, Sen. Kerry, it's my job and every other individual's job to prepare for the future and solve problems... That isn't the purpose of government.
