Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

"Least of my Brethren"

Tucker Miller responds to Steve:

Steve,

I have been refraining from "debating" with you since your ethnocentric, bigoted tirades against Native Americans and gays (your subtle Ron Carrol is queer bs!). But your last post is too much!

You want to call your self a Christian!!! HA!!!! The sad thing is that it isn't funny at all. Remember what Jesus said about how to treat the "least of my brethren"? Probably not. Your memory is so outrageously selective that I doubt you choose to recall anything that might keep you from hoarding your personal property.

Your hypocrisy would disgust any compassionate, considerate or even slightly moral person! And I may be reaching here, but I think I have a pretty good Idea what Jesus might say to you as well.

Hypocrites of your ilk fuel the fires of hate, greed and intolerance that burn across this planet (which you also choose to abuseā€¦and then deny the abuse).

I pray that you are only playing devil's advocate. Because if your not "playing" it,-- then you are the devil's advocate!

This will be my last post ever on the ol' BP. My conscience will not allow me to waste any more time interacting with bigots and unadmitant hypocrites.
