Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Hey, that's a great idea. And then maybe we can get Kofi Annan to help him. Maybe Saddam Hussein will want to pitch in. I'll bet we could find a few more corrupt America-haters to join the effort as well.

It's a good thing for Congressman Roemer that there is no penalty for stupid ideas.
