Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Re: An Open Letter to Bush Haters

Signed,

A Clinton Hater

The intensity and irrationality of your hatred... is rather amazing. I think that in some professional circles, it might even be called paranoia.

Yeah, hate is generally irrational and paranoid. It can be highly contagious, too. Since hate has made American politics what it is today, we should probably all stop for a moment and thank each other for our contributions to the cause.

In an attempt to be bombastic and humorous, this dude fails miserably. 'The Hero of Monicagate'? 'The Dragon Lady' (referring to Hillary Clinton)? Not funny.

The fact that this is from a website called 'The American 'Thinker' is really the only humor present here.
