Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Sean Penn's Boat Sinks In Failed Katrina Rescue Attempt

This rescue stuff isn't quite as easy as it looks, is it Sean? Word to the wise, if you're going to publicly call the President an incompetent, you might want to make sure you don't do anything incompetent yourself within minutes of uttering the phrase.

I shouldn't complain. Penn continues to ensure that no one of any consequence will take him or his other Hollyweird buddies seriously.
