Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: RE: Misunderstanding

Andy,

Consider how many National Guard units are serving in Iraq. They enlisted to serve stateside. They certainly aren't doing what they believed they were enlisting for.

How many soldiers back from Iraq have you talked to? I certainly can't speak for every soldier, but those I've talked to haven't given glowing reviews and are glad to be the hell out of there!
