The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Stones' Tour Most Successful of All Time


The band sold $162 million worth of tickets and played 42 performances to 1.2 million fans.

The Rolling Stones have smashed touring records - their 2005 Bigger Bang trek of North America is the most successful concert tour of all time, according to concert website Pollstar.
