Immigration Logistics and Legalities

Obviously, the logistics and legalities of a "round 'em up and send 'em home" effort are staggering. That doesn't change the fact that it is the right thing to do. I don't buy for a moment that it is impossible. I do completely comprehend that there is an utter lack of will to solve the issue and most of our so-called leaders are left simply wishing it had never happened.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with but a single step. The single step is to get the INS off its dead butt and start enforcing what is in place right now. Law enforcement agencies everywhere relate stories of INS refusing to deal with illegals when the local "county mountie" happens to snare them for some other reason. Just changing that would cool the problem tremendously. The illegals who get snagged for breaking other laws, once they are here, are clearly undesirable. Let's just start with deporting them and see where that leads us.
