Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Bartlett & Playing The Race Card

I guess we all play the race card. Bartlett did a sly job of it here.

I'm curious how you would arrive at that conclusion. The issue he reports on is political thuggery against both white and black Republicans.

Or is it that you just want to soften the nasty picture he paints of North Carolina Democrats? Could this be just the slightest bit of partisan defensiveness, Strother?

NandO, which is still nothing more than the quasi-official propaganda organ of the NC Democrats, has been trying to paint conservatives and Republicans with racism for decades. Surely they were aware of this grotesque skeleton in their own closet. What utter hypocrisy.
