Rice to address Southern Baptists at N.C. convention

...trolling for '08 endorsements from pulpits across the nation, perhaps?

By Anita Wadhwani for The Tennessean:

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will address a gathering of Southern Baptists in Greensboro, N.C., next Wednesday, Baptist officials announced. Rice, the daughter of a Presbyterian minister, will appear at the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention, where more than 10,000 Southern Baptist pastors and church members are expected this year.

A public official speaking at a religious event is nothing new... Both parties do it. Gosh, think of Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton... All the presidential candidates speak at religious events.
