Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

'Cuz Tanya sez so, that's why


It will be much worse.


Naked assertion just doesn't quite do it for me. How about some supporting evidence?


Today's Democrat Party can't be trusted with the security of this country.


And the Republicans can be trusted? The evidence would suggest otherwise. But this is just more naked assertion. Of course, my response is largely rhetorical. I've walked this path with True Believers before. At the logical conclusion it tends to get very ugly.
