Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Soldiers Of Christ: Inside America's Most Powerful Megachurch

Ok, Strother, I'll bite.

This Haggard thing seems to have really gotten under your skin. All I see is yet another hypocritical Pharisee. I'm not even really sure why it is newsworthy except that it seems to excite those who condemn Christianity for the acts of some Christians. It also seems to make people who believe Bush is trying to establish some kind of theocracy very moist.

So what's your point?
