Extra Pollution

(Fox News) - The European Parliament's Green Party says the EU is belching out more than 20,000 tons of extra carbon dioxide a year because of its insistence on having meetings in both France and Belgium. That's more than some small island countries emit on their own. They say the EU sends thousands of legislators and assistants from Brussels to Strasbourg every month — wasting fuel and pumping out unnecessary pollution — instead of doing all its business at its Brussels headquarters.

The EU is pushing members to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent in the next 13 years.
