The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Grant may apply to maintenance garage

$300,000 has Stokes reconsidering project, sharing with PART

DANBURY (Winston-Salem Journal) -
Stokes County officials and the Yadkin Valley Economic Development District Inc. are starting over with plans for a proposed maintenance garage - a project that has been in the works since 2003.

The Stokes County Board of Commissioners appointed a committee yesterday to determine whether the project makes economic sense.
