Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Landscapers Not Defying Water Restrictions

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) – Many people have seen landscapers planting and watering new grass and plants along Interstate 85 and Groometown Road in Greensboro.

People have noticed because the work and watering is happening during the middle of the day, during a drought and what appears to be a violation of Greensboro's mandatory water restrictions.

The scene is also noticeable because workers are also using water hoses similar to those used by firefighters.
