Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Walnut Cove Council Member Defends Gathering Ordinance

WALNUT COVE, N.C. (WGHP) – A Walnut Cove town council member defends the council's decision Tuesday requiring groups of five or more people to obtain a permit before gathering on the streets of the Stokes County town.

Oh yeah, she's a fascist. Debbie, dear, I think you're missing the point. Americans value their freedom of association and the ability to gather just as much, if not more than they do their freedom of speech.
