The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Steve Arnold Considering Resigning from Board of Commissioners

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) – A day after a warrant was issued for his arrest, Guilford County commissioner Steve Arnold said he is a victim of liars and thieves.

A Randolph County Superior Court Judge stayed the arrest warrant, but found Arnold in contempt of court for not cooperating in a civil lawsuit against him by Elkes Development, LLC.
