City officials will sign a contract for water-treatment-plant design
KING (Winston-Salem Journal) - As water and drought problems grip the attention of local and state government officials, the city of King is getting ready to sign off on a $17.6 million water-treatment-plant construction project.
On Monday night, the city council plans to sign a contract with an engineering company for a preliminary design of a new water-treatment plant and improvements to the existing plant, which will give the water system the capacity to treat 6 million gallons of water a day.
