Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Republicans Will Always Have Hillary

(Captain's Quarters) - The amazing rebound of Hillary Clinton may have a beneficial effect on Republican fortunes. Instead of facing an inexperienced but inspirational opponent in the general election, it now appears that the GOP nominee will have to fight the Clintons and their political machine. And that could make a big difference in party turnout and cohesion in November.

Now there's a cute bit of wishful thinking for you. The neocons and pragmatists have run the so-called "Paulistinians" off the reservation with threats, acrimony, and insults, but they think the threat of The Beast in Pants Suits is enough to bring them crawling back? It is to laugh!

My, my, my, I think the dullards at CQ have hit a new low. And I honestly didn't think they could get any lower.
