The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

"Nixon Now!" What a wild ditty.
I wonder how much the Nixon campaign paid these hippie musicians to record this cutesy jingle?
... upon further thought, maybe they weren't hippies ... the song does sound a lot like an 'edgy' musical number from Lawrence Welk Show ...
After listening to that, no wonder Nixon won in a landside in '72. :-)
