NTSB finds no initial signs
Plane's structure, controls reflect no failures
MOUNT AIRY (Winston-Salem Journal) - Investigators found no signs of structural or control failures during their first day of examining the wreckage of an airplane crash that killed six men flying from Georgia to Mount Airy for a hunting trip.
The cause of Friday’s crash remains undetermined, and officials with the National Transportation Safety Board are still looking into other factors, such as weather, pilot performance, contact with air-traffic control, and whether the engine was working properly.
