Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

The Cult of Obama...

From Tammy Bruce:

When I first saw this mural from inside Barry's campaign headquarters it seriously irritated me, but I wasn't sure why; it was a visceral reaction. Well, this email from peep Tom made things clear:

Hi Tammy, look at the size of this photo on the wall at obama headquarters. Reminds me of the leader of a third world country plastered on the wall of a building.

Tom

That's exactly it. It's an awfully strange mural for someone who claims it was on his European Celebrity trip did he realize this election wasn't all about him.
