Eliminating Business 40 in Greensboro to Cost At Least $300k

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) - It will cost taxpayers at least $300,000 to change the road signs that direct drivers onto the Urban Loop and Interstate 40 through Greensboro.

Last week, the Department of Transportation announced it will soon eliminate Business 40 through Greensboro and redirect I-40 traffic back to its original route.

Once the changes are made late this fall, the loop will no longer be I-40 at any point. Instead, the loop will be Interstate 73 and Interstate 840.
