Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Ex-President Bush checks out Dallas home

(The Dallas Morning News) - Former President George W. Bush took a road trip to Dallas on Tuesday, marking his first visit since leaving the White House.

Bush and his wife, Laura, toured their new Preston Hollow home and went by the Preston Center building that is being readied for his office.
