Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Harry Reid Proud of Not Having Read a Single Sotomayor Opinion



"I understand that during her career, she's written hundreds and hundreds of opinions. I haven't read a single one of them, and if I'm fortunate before we end this, I won't have to read one of them."

Reid is not only blindly ignorant, but he's proud of it and wants us all to hear him tell us. I'm sure he or another Democrat leader will come out later and tell us "what he meant to say." We wait: 1, 2, 3...
