The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Does This Breast Cancer Awareness Ad Go Too Far?



(MYFOXNY.COM) - A public service announcement raising awareness about breast cancer is taking a page from the beer industry to get the point across.

There's no reference to mamograms or anything technical in the new Retink Breast Cancer charity spot. It's all about sex appeal.

It's part of a campaign that's launching for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Canada in October.

The charity reaches out to young Canadians concerned about and affected by breast cancer.
