Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Wilson's wife: "I said 'Joe, who's the nut who hollered out, "You lie"?'"

(By Ben Smith, Politico) - The latest entry in Rep. Joe Wilson's energetic online efforts to reclaim control of his narrative, and raise a bundle off his new high profile, is an unusually entertaining testimonial from his wife.

"I said 'Joe, who's the nut who hollered out, "You lie"?'" Roxanne Wilson says. "I couldn't believe Joe would say that."

She explains, however, that "he is very passionate."

"I think the president's been very gracious to my husband in accepting his apology," Mrs. Wilson says. The Congressman "doesn't deserve the treatment he's been getting from Congress."

One more prediction that his seven-figure fundraising totals seem to ensure: "He'll be fine."
