Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Video: Obama announces a “jobs summit”

(By Ed Morrissey, Hot Air) - Perhaps stung by the elections last week, Barack Obama has decided to call a “jobs summit” to address the rising levels of unemployment that his stimulus package has failed to arrest. He tried again to sell the idea that his administration has slowed unemployment, but the numbers tell another tale:
