The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Report: Baucus' Girlfriend Worked on His Divorce While on His Staff


Fox News: The last person to know Sen. Baucus wanted a divorce may have been Wanda, his wife of 25 years, even as a member of his staff — Melodee Hanes, now his live-in girlfriend — was plotting the senator's life without a wife.
