Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Video: McCain blasts “liberal Democratic group” AARP

Ed Morrissey: John McCain got hot under the collar yesterday when the AARP opposed his amendment to block massive cuts in the Medicare program as a funding mechanism for ObamaCare. Calling them a “liberal Democratic group,” McCain urged seniors to cut up their membership cards and send them to the AARP in protest for their betrayal of seniors:
