Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

MRC's Brent Bozell on Bogus 'Ellie Light' Letters



(By Ken Shepherd, Eyeblast.tv) - MRC's Brent Bozell on Fox News Channel's January 26 "America's Newsroom" reacting to the "Ellie Light" controversy. "Ellie Light" is a letter writer authoring very similar letters to various newspapers, claiming to be resident of the areas served by the newspaper's circulation. An editor using Google discovered the same name appeared in other papers.
