Bully Pulpit

Baseball?: Plan is to entertain folks, game notwithstanding

(By Tim Clodfelter; Winston-Salem Journal) - Even if you're not interested in watching baseball, the Winston-Salem Dash hopes to keep you entertained. Fireworks, contests, and between-inning entertainment will all be part of the show at BB&T Ballpark.

"You're coming to a family-fun, entertainment night with a side of baseball," said Geoff Lassiter, the team's president. "We really, really want to entertain families as much as possible whenever baseball's not on."

"Most minor-league teams only have nine or 10 things they do," said Trey Kalny, the director of entertainment for the Dash. "We focus on providing a fresh, new entertainment show every night."
