Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Newsmakers: Mark Hall, Health Care Law Expert



WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ( By Neill McNeill; FOX8 News) - Mark Hall, a law professor at Wake Forest University, would prefer to call the health care reform bill something other than Obamacare or its official name, The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Hall prefers "Americare," and his understanding of the bill and health care law in general have him very much in demand of late.
