The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Krispy Kreme Cheerwine Doughnut

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) - Krispy Kreme has introduced a soda-flavored doughnut in North Carolina.

The doughnuts, flavored with the southern soda "Cheerwine," will be officially released to approximately 1,000 grocery stores across North and South Carolina on Thursday. The doughnuts will be packed with Cheerwine-infused creme and topped with chocolate icing.

Cheerwine, a drink headquartered in Salisbury, N.C. is popular across the southeast. Krispy Kreme is based out of Winston-Salem, N.C.
