The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Sheriff Joe Arpaio: What Is The "Hype" With Arizona Immigration Law?
