The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. (Eyeblast.tv) - On the August 30th 2010 edition of CNN's Rick's List, anchor Rick Sanchez apologized after making a racially-tinged "faux pas," as he called it, by calling Barack Obama the "cotton-picking President of the United States."
