Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Does MSNBC's Joe Scarborough Hint That His Employer Holds Double Standards?



(Eyeblast.tv) - Joe Scarborough, co-host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," discussed news coverage Thursday of President Obama's "We're buying shrimp" response to reporters who asked about the Iraq War. Scarborough argued that "certain networks" would have trashed President Bush if he had made the same response, and yet have not criticized President Obama over his remarks.
