Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Sen. Gregg: Obama Believes Growing Government Creates Prosperity



Sen. Judd Gregg (R-NH): "The Democratic leadership of this Congress and the administration believes that if you grow government you create prosperity. Well, you don't, you create debt and you create deficits and that does not lead to prosperity."

Gregg says the stimulus was a failure and all it did was create "walking around money" for members of Congress.
