Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

WH Press Sec Robert Gibbs Caught Misrepresenting Obama’s Position on Iraq Surge



(Breitbart.tv) - White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs claims on national television that President Obama believed in 2007 that the Iraq troop surge would improve the security situation in Iraq. In fact, in 2007, then-Senator Obama said on the floor of the Senate that the surge of 20,000 troops "will not in any imaginable way be able to accomplish any new progress".
