5-Year-Old Kate Thornton Passes Away Early Sunday Inside New Home



THOMASVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) - Kate Thornton, a 5-year-old girl who was diagnosed with leukemia at 3-years-old, passed away early Sunday morning inside a new home that was purchased with donations from the community.

According to a statement from the family, Kate passed away at 6 a.m. Sunday surrounded by family and friends.

Arrangements are still being made. The family asks for no visitors or phone calls at this time.
