Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Chris Matthews Calls Beck Fans ‘Moonie-Like’



(Breitbart.tv) - The MSNBC host called people who came out for Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally "Moonie-like" in reference to the stereo-type understanding of brain-washed followers of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon and the Unification Church. His guest, Ari Rabin-Havt from Media Matters, agreed and said "these people are devoted followers and they'll do whatever he says."
