Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Large Crowd Expected for Public Hearing on King Christian Flag

KING, N.C. (WGHP) - King City Council will announce how it plans to move forward with the Christian Flag controversy at a public hearing Monday night.

The hearing will begin at 6 p.m. at King Elementary School.

Council is expected to announce three or four different options and then take comments from the public.
