Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

PBS Cuts Anti-Palin ‘Rape Kit’ and Lesbian Jokes From Tina Fey Award Speech

Seidl, The Blaze) - When popular comedian, and Sarah Palin impersonator, Tina Fey won the Mark Twain Prize for Humor last week, she made sure to crack a joke about Palin during the acceptance speech. But as it turns out, an editing job by PBS turned what was more of a roundhouse kick into a love tap.
