Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Census Announces List of States' Congressional Seat Gains/Losses

(By Philip Klein, The American Spectator) - The Census Bureau just completed its one duty specifically described in the Constitution -- to count the number of people living in the United States and apportion them to determine how many Congressional seats go to each state.

Here's the breakdown of the 18 states which gained or lost seats.
